Course Description

Protect Your Brain is a program for elementary, middle, and high school students that teaches how to keep your brain healthy and avoid addiction. Students learn about risk factors, how to make smart choices, and refusal skills.


The program breaks down important brain science into easy-to-understand lessons, helping students build strong health skills and understand how addiction affects the brain.


What You'll Learn:

  • Key neuroscience principles and the differences between adolescent and adult brains
  • Risk factors for developing a substance use disorder, as well as risk factors that can impact brain health and overall well-being.
  • Healthy and unhealthy choices that affect brain function.
  • Refusal skills to confidently say no to peer pressure.

All youth and adults who want to learn more about how to protect their brains from developing a substance use disorder.


Certifications:

Participants who complete the course will receive a Certificate of Completion.
