Prevalence of Addiction in the U.S.
In the United States, over 48 million people suffer from addiction – that’s one in six people over the age of 12. [1]
Nearly 50 percent of people in the U.S. know someone who has suffered or is currently struggling with a substance use disorder. [2]
It’s important to note that we also have over 20 million Americans in recovery today, proving that you can treat and recover from this illness. [1]
