It’s important to remember that we have the tools that we need to respond to this disease and we need to respond to addiction like we have responded to hundreds of diseases from H1N1, the measles, COVID to Ebola.

How do we do this?

1. Reduce the number of individuals that contract the disease
2. Increase early detection and intervention/treatment for those diagnosed.
3. Improve survival rates.

In today’s training, we’re going to tackle #1 – how do we reduce the number of individuals who develop an addiction, or a substance use disorder.
